About MIHA
The MIHA promotes a program dedicated to recreation, sportsmanship, and excellence in youth ice hockey. The programs are designed to meet the needs of all players ages 5-18. Younger players will have the opportunity to develop hockey skills in a fun environment. While older players compete at higher levels.
The Mahwah Ice Hockey Association (MIHA) was incorporated ten years ago and is recognized by the IRS as a 503(c)3 non-profit organization. The MIHA is dedicated to promoting the development of ice hockey for Mahwah youth and to financially support both the junior varsity and varsity ice hockey programs at Mahwah High School.
Currently, both the MIHA house leagues which are offered to Mites (kindergarten) through Bantams (8th grade), as well as the Thunderbird teams from Mahwah High School play at the Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey.
During the Spring ice hockey season, the MIHA also provides house league teams for JV and varsity players as well as Mites through Middle School.
Fund raising endeavors throughout the year are aimed at providing extra practices, games, tournaments, free skates and other developmental programs.
