The Mahwah Ice Hockey Association (MIHA) makes available to a qualified applicant(s) a $500 award. 

All graduating Mahwah High School seniors may apply

Criteria:  Not based on financial need
                     Not based on academic qualifications
                     Based on service to the MIHA organization, its non-high school teams and players

Essay: In the same spirit of volunteerism that Don and Meg Minassian have demonstrated please submit a 250-word essay explaining how you have promoted and fostered the love of ice hockey to the younger players of Mahwah and/or have given back to the Mahwah Ice Hockey Association through volunteerism.  The award is based on what you have done outside of your high school team responsibilities as a player, Captain or Assistant Captain.
